BT provide Ethernet Connect UK, the layer 2 Ethernet Wide Area Network (WAN) service connecting sites in the UK. Ethernet Connect “E-Lin” allows the SWAN Member to create E-Line (virtual point-to-point) services with Ethernet Private Line or Ethernet Virtual Private Line configurations.

Ethernet Connect “E-LA” allows the SWAN Member to create E-LAN services, which are also called Ethernet Virtual Private LAN services (VPLS), offering any to any connectivity between sites.
