Over recent months, BT engineers up and down the country have been working tirelessly to transition SWAN members onto the new SWAN 2 Framework.
Alec McKinnon, who is based near Inverness, set off on Tuesday to attend a customer on Westray, picking up a task on the way up to Scrabster, by getting one of the last ferries to Orkney. Alec had to get another ferry to Westray very early to complete the task.
However, as the ferry from Kirkwall to Westray was accepting only foot passengers due to being fully booked and the bus from the ferry terminal on Westray to the customer also fully booked, Alec resorted to pedal power. He cycled the 15 mile round trip to ensure he managed to reach the customer and complete the job.
Braving the Scottish weather (a couple of downpours), Alec is a true Customer Champion and an example of BT’s commitment to do the right thing for all customers, all day, every day.
Well done, Alec!
